Mazda Discovers is a content series celebrating makers, creators and artisans who share Mazda's dedication to craftsmanship, innovation and thoughtful design. Through a collection of documentary-style films, the series explores the people behind exceptional work, revealing the passion, process and attention to detail that drives them.


Working as part of the creative team, I transformed long-form video content into a suite of socail -first assets, helping extend the reach of each story across YouTube, Instagram and paid social channels.

How do you bring a brand's values to life through real stories and realy people?

How do you bring a brand’s values to life through real stories and realy people?

The challenge was to distil rich, story-driven content into engaging short-form formats without losing the authenticity, emotion and craftsmanship that defined the series. Each asset needed to feel true to Mazda's premium brand while remaining optimised for fast-paced social platforms.

From long-form to social-first

My role focused on translating each episode into a cohesive suite of digital content. Workingfrom the raw footage, I identified key moments, visual details, and narrative highlights that could be adapted into YouTube Shorts, social cutdowns, and supporting campaign assets.


Alongside video editing, I curated imagery from each film to create Instagram stories and carousel content, ensuring every touchpoint reflected the same sense of craft, quality and visual consistency present throughout the wider campaign.

Every cut begins with a story

Before editing began, I reviewed each episode to identify the strongest narrative moments, visual details and emotional beats. These were mapped into short-form content opportunities, helping shape a content plan that balanced storytelling with platform-specific requirements.


This process ensured each cutdown, story and carousel asset served a clear purpose while maintaining a consistent visual language across the campaign.
